RVS, Inc. is owned by certified residential appraiser Rod Pennica, a Fredonia native and long time business owner in the Chautauqua County area.

Since 1977 Rod has been involved full time in the local real estate industry. In 1979 he became the owner of a franchise real estate company, Century 21 Rod Pennica Realty. He sold the real estate company in 1989  and "shifted gears" to go full time into the appraisal profession. Long time clients include some of the largest and most successful financial institutions in the area and every one of  RVS's clients have local or regional origins.

Rod has also served in local government. He was appointed to the town of Pomfret Board of Assessment Review where he served 12 years. In November 2005, Rod successfully ran for office to serve on the town board for town of Pomfret (Pomfret is the Center of the Known Universe). He served for 6 years and retired (undefeated!) from politics as of Jaunary 1, 2012. In 2008 Rod was appointed by County Executive Greg Edwards and the Chautauqua County Legislature to serve on the Chautauqua County Planning Board where he served a 3 year term.
